Valley View
Dundry, North Somerset
Full Application / Working Drawings
Located in the Green Belt and embedded into Dundry Hill overlooking Bristol, the house responds to the sloping site by directing views over the valley below.
The design provides upside down living where all main living spaces are located on the upper entrance floor with bedroom spaces below, giving the impression of a single storey dwelling within its planning constraints.
The design takes a contemporary approach on the local vernacular use of stone and slate and the building has been arranged to create a series of external terraces that benefit from the views and sunlight and various times in the day.
